Kick-Start Your Way Into Spring Health Mode

Staying healthy and active during winter can be challenging.

If you struggled this winter, spring is soon upon us, and it’s not too late to start small. Get outside as the weather improves—even if it’s just for a stroll around the block. You can also start eating fresher foods like salads.

5 ways to kick-start your way to health in Spring:

1. Saturday morning Park Runs:

These are organised, free, weekly, 5km timed runs (or you can walk) which occur around the world. Anyone can do them, and they are safe and easy to take part in.

2. Introducing fresh, raw salads into your diet:

Introduce fresh seasonal vegetables and fruit to your diet. This is an easy and convenient way to ensure that you get the vegetables and fruit your body needs.

3. Keep hydrated

It is extremely important to keep your body hydrated. During colder days, it’s easy to forget to drink the required amount of water. However, no matter the weather, it’s important to keep up the water intake.

4. Do daily activities:

Make sure to do some form of daily activity. This is not always easy due to busy schedules, but try to make time, even if it’s for a walk around the block or a workout at home.

5. Try doing yoga in the park

Yoga is a good way to de-stress from a busy lifestyle. It is good for your body and your mind as well.

It is important to look after yourself, especially with the changing seasons. Get your body into adaptation mode, and you will see the benefits.
