Cancer Cover in South Africa

Cancer Cover in South Africa

Welcome to our Female Cancer Cover Product range, a financial safety net designed specifically for South African women. We understand the unique health challenges women face, especially when it comes to battling prevalent cancers such as breast and cervical cancer. Our cover is designed to provide a pre-determined lump sum payout upon the confirmed diagnosis of certain female cancers, offering you financial support when you need it most.

Many medical aid schemes in South Africa do not include comprehensive female cancer benefits by default. Our Female Cancer Cover fills this gap, providing an additional layer of financial protection on top of your existing medical aid and gap cover.

The financial burden associated with a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. Here’s a breakdown of the potential costs you might face:

  1. Medical Costs: Diagnostic tests, treatment and aftercare can range from R1,800 to R250,000, depending on the type and stage of cancer.
  2. Insurance-related Costs: Even with health insurance, you may still need to cover a portion of the treatment costs. Gap cover insurance can help bridge the gap between what your medical aid covers and the actual cost of treatment.
  3. Associated Costs: Additional expenses can include transport, time off work, special nutrition, wigs, and special bras after surgery.
  4. Aftercare Costs: Post-treatment costs include drugs to prevent recurrence and ongoing doctors’ visits and health checks.
