The Cradle of Humankind

Accepted as the place where humankind originated, it is not only part of our heritage but also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park

Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the caves here display the largest collection of San rock art in South Africa.

Kirstenbosch Gardens

These majestic gardens are a nod to the unparalleled landscape in which we live. This is another South African heritage site which we share with the rest of the world. Kirstenbosch Gardens is yet another UNESCO heritage site.

Cycads in Limpopo

This magnificent species of cycads can only be found in the area of the Bolubedu people – the only matrilineal dynasty in South Africa. They are named after Modjadji – the Rain Queen.

Vilakazi Street, Soweto

South Africa’s most well-known township, Soweto, is a vibrant place to visit. It boasts the only street in the world to have been home to two Nobel laureates, Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Other attractions include the Hector Pieterson Memorial and Walter Sisulu Square (also known as Freedom Square).

TRA: Gap Cover for South Africans

We are often asked, “What is Gap Cover?” To put it simply, Gap Cover is short-term insurance that covers the difference between what medical aid pays and the rates charged by medical specialists. Gap Cover is not an alternative to medical aid.
